TAMPA PUBLIC ADJUSTER WITH FABBRO & COMPANY DOCUMENTS, PRESENTS, AND SETTLES $1,600,000 FIRE LOSS CLAIM FOR OWNER ON A 4,000 PLUS SQUARE FOOT CUSTOM HOME.

In late 2015, this single family, custom home located in Tampa, FL sustained catastrophic damage as a result of fire, smoke, and water. After being pressured by several public adjusters and contractors in the immediate aftermath of loss, the owner, on the advice of his attorney, paused to allow time to weigh all his options. After an intensive two month long cause and origin investigation by the insurance company, the fire was determined to be accidental and full coverage was afforded. The owner and his attorney then turned their attention to the prospect of hiring profession claim representation to assess, present, and negotiate the claim.

After interviewing several public adjusters, the owner retained Dante Fabbro, PCLA of Fabbro & Company to manage the insurance claim.

Although several weeks passed since the company ruled the fire accidental and extended full coverage (and nearly 3 months since the fire occurred), the owner still had not received a penny for his loss. Immediately after being retained, Fabbro & Company forwarded a demand for payment of policy limits on the dwelling based on Florida’s Valued Policy Law. Payment for Coverage “A” limits was received from the insurance company within 5 business days.

Fabbro & Company’s focus then turned to identifying and documenting over 10,000 pieces of personal property destroyed in the fire, including an extensive collection of firearms, artwork, and other collectibles.

After approximately two months of taking physical inventories and working with the insured to identify items destroyed beyond recognition, a complete list of personal property, values, supporting documentation, and photographic documentation was submitted to the carrier for consideration. Two months later, a check for Coverage “C” policy limits was received.

Since repairs have not commenced, Law or Ordinance claims (which are likely exceed $150,000) are pending.
